📘 HOW PATIENT TRUST SCORE™ WORKS

Patient Trust Score™ Methodology

1️⃣ Why Patient Trust Score™ Exists

Choosing a hospital is one of the most important decisions a person can make, yet patients often rely on incomplete information, advertising claims, or isolated opinions.

Patient Trust Score™ exists to provide clarity, balance, and transparency by analysing patterns in publicly available patient feedback. Our methodology focuses on what patients consistently experience, rather than promotional messaging or single testimonials.

We are an independent platform designed to help patients make informed healthcare decisions using evidence-based insights.

2️⃣ Data Sources Used

Patient Trust Score™ evaluations are based on publicly accessible information, including:

  • Verified Google patient reviews
  • Review timestamps and patterns over time
  • Publicly available hospital information (location, services, operating structure)

We do not collect private medical data, patient records, or confidential information.

3️⃣ Why We Use Patient Reviews

Patient reviews provide valuable insight into real-world experiences such as communication, waiting times, environment, and service consistency.

However, individual reviews can be subjective. For this reason, Patient Trust Score™ does not rely on single opinions. Instead, we analyse review patterns, recurring themes, and consistency over time to understand broader patient experience trends.

4️⃣ Review Volume & Consistency Analysis

A core part of our methodology is assessing how much reliable feedback exists for each hospital.

We evaluate:

  • Number of verified patient reviews
  • Stability of ratings over time
  • Recurring positive and critical themes
  • Sudden spikes or anomalies in review activity

Hospitals with a higher volume of consistent feedback provide stronger confidence signals than those with limited or irregular data.

5️⃣ Independent Editorial Analysis

Patient Trust Score™ combines data analysis with human editorial review.

Our editorial process includes:

  • Identifying recurring patient-reported strengths
  • Identifying commonly mentioned challenges
  • Summarising patterns clearly and neutrally
  • Avoiding promotional or exaggerated language

Editors do not rank hospitals competitively or make clinical judgments.

6️⃣ What Patient Trust Score™ Does NOT Do

To maintain independence and clarity, Patient Trust Score™:

  • Does not provide medical advice
  • Does not assess clinical outcomes or treatment success
  • Does not verify individual patient identities
  • Does not accept payment to influence reviews or conclusions
  • Does not rank hospitals as “best” or “worst”

Our role is to present public patient experience patterns, not to evaluate medical competence.

7️⃣ Understanding Review Confidence Levels

Hospitals are grouped by review confidence, which reflects the availability and consistency of publicly accessible patient feedback.

Review confidence levels include:

  • Well-Documented
Strong volume of consistent patient feedback over time.
  • Documented
Moderate volume of patient reviews with emerging patterns.
  • Emerging Documentation
    Limited or growing patient feedback.
  • Early-Stage Documentation
Insufficient data to establish reliable patterns.

Review confidence does not reflect clinical quality, safety, or outcomes.

8️⃣ How Often Reviews Are Updated

Patient Trust Score™ reviews are updated periodically to reflect:

  • New patient feedback
  • Changes in review volume or consistency
  • Newly available public information

Update frequency may vary by hospital depending on review activity.

9️⃣ Transparency & Independence

Patient Trust Score™ is an independent healthcare review platform.

We do not represent hospitals listed on this site and do not accept payment to alter ratings, review confidence levels, or editorial conclusions.

Any corrections to factual information can be requested through our contact process and are reviewed editorially.

🔒 Methodology Disclaimer

Patient Trust Score™ evaluations are based on publicly available patient feedback and independent editorial analysis. They are intended for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice or a substitute for professional healthcare guidance.
